This is just a simple eye look tutorial using only shadows from the Sonia Kashuk Eye On Neutral Matte palate. My sister picked this one up for me while she was in America, however I think you could find simple shades like this anywhere around the place.
This look would be perfect for those lazy summer days when you want to keep your eyes simple but add some depth. I have my face make-up finished here and then I went straight on to the eyes.
I’m starting off by priming my eyes with the Urban Decay primer potion in original.
Since the shadows in this palate have no names I have numbered them 1-12 to make it easier to know which shadows I’m using. I used the flash for these pictures and swatches shown are with around 2 swipes of the shadow.
To set my primer I used shade 2 and patted it all over my lid with a wet and wild eye brush (I can’t find the actual name online :/).
Then I used shade 4 to deepen my crease using the e.l.f. studio crease brush. Then to make my shadows appear more seamless I blended out my crease shadow with an unbranded fluffy brush.
Then with the same unbranded brush I took shade 6 and put it in the same crease area.
Then going back to my e.l.f studio crease brush I use shade 7 on the outer corner of my eye and just before my inner corner and I blend slightly in the middle where they meet. Although all the shades are neutral in this palate this has to be my favourite it’s a perfect warm brown!
Then with another unbranded brush I used shade 1 to lightly highlight my brow bone and inner corner.
So after I finished the lids I moved onto liner, I used Barry M Blink liner, Milani LashTrifecta Mascara, I also smoked out my lower lash line with shade 6 (I think).
I don’t have the cleanest winged liner but I was not having a good liner day and I always leave it when I know it will only get worse :’).
I added Ardell Demi Wispies with DUO eyelash glue and used NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm to complete the look!
I want to say a huge thank you to my friend Emily who took all these pictures! I hope all have a great August 🙂
Much love,
Laura x
