I don’t know if I’ve been living under a rock or what, but for some reason I have only now discovered the Pixi ‘H20 Skindrink’ moisturiser. When I first made the switch to cruelty free beauty products the most difficult thing to find was cruelty-free skincare. I have to say that Pixi has been one of those holy grail skincare brands for me ever since I made the switch. The Pixi ‘Glow Tonic’ is one of my favorite skincare products and I just ran out of it a few weeks ago and I am patiently waiting for M&S to re-stock it. So, while I was in M&S looking to repurchase the Glow Tonic, I came across the H20 Skindrink Moisturiser instead. It is safe to say that this has quickly become one of my favorite skincare products. I am pretty sure that many people have been raving about this already and for me this product is worth the hype.
Before I made the switch to cruelty-free beauty my favourite moisturiser to use was the ‘Clinique Moisture Surge’ moisturiser. I am thrilled to say that this is the closest dupe I have found to it and it is just as good if not better.
Unlike many moisturisers the consistency of the ‘H2O Skindrink’ is like a gel and it feels like literal water that you can rub into your skin. My skin is mostly dry and can get very dry in the winter, so far this moisturiser has been helping to combat my dry skin.
You get 35ml in the tube and the price of it in M&S is €31. €31 is pretty steep considering it is sold for $22 on the Pixi website, so if you are considering buying this product it may be best to shop around and see where you can get best value for money.
Application
I take one full pump of the product on the back of my hand and disperse it evenly in fourths on to my chin, forehead and two sides of my face.
I apply the product using the tips of my fingers only and apply it in an upwards motion as best I can. It is best to use the tips of your fingers to ensure that you are applying the product gently to your face but also to get the most out of the product i.e. that you are moisturising your face and not your hands.
I always find that I actually over- apply moisturiser in attempt to stop my skin from being dry but usually this just gives my skin a more greasy appearance because I am applying too much. So with this product just one pump is actually enough to cover my face and give me a slight glow.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has recently run out of their moisturiser and is looking to try a new one. Ever since I first used this I have been hooked and with the amount of hype products get lately I haven’t felt this way about any product in a long time.
As the harsh autumn/winter weather hits I know I will need to up my skin-care game big time and I am glad that I found this product just in time.
I hope you are all loving autumn so far. Is anyone else loving all of the Halloween vibes around the place and on social media lately? I know I am :’).
Much love,
