A Week in The Wardrobe of a College Student

Hello everyone!

With SS18 finally upon us I thought it was only appropriate to do another fashion post. This is how I try to work fashion trends into a college wardrobe while still keeping my own style. I hope this offers some inspiration for those days when you just don’t know what to wear. ❤

Monday

Mondays can go one way or the other, I try or I don’t even try a little bit. This usually depends on how I am feeling about the week, if I have an exam or a lab report due you can be sure I’ll be in comfy clothes. Otherwise I try to dress smart with clean cut lines to get me motivated to have a productive week, I find that is actually quite an effective tool to get me to keep my head down and get the work that needs to be done done. I went simple and easy with this outfit while trying to incorporate trends and colour. Stripes at the moment are big in and a simple striped shirt will do the trick. Plus, the AW trend of red h to t seems to be sticking around for a bit longer with bright poppy reds still being seen in highstreet stores for SS. But then again, does red ever go out?

Tuesday

Any day that I don’t have a lab I always consider a skirt since they are some of my favorite things to wear. It was especially cold this day so I added some gloves and a scarf to this outfit to keep warm. I added this denim jacket to liven up the skirt and jumper a bit and I paired this with my blue velvet boots because I am obsessed with these !

Wednesday

With Wednesday being my longest day  with loads of gaps the only option for me was comfort wear. I usually plan my outfits on a Sunday and wasn’t planning on wearing this jumper but it was so comfy I had to steal is from my friend (TY Lauryn, I promise I will give it back). I also wore a massive cosy jacket over this because it was freezing.

Thursday

I kept Thursday a bit more casual . I actually ended up wearing this outfit with the red jacket from Monday’s outfit because I clearly forgot where I live and the average temperatures we get. Nevertheless this is how I would normally wear this outfit when it isn’t super chilly. This DKNY zippy is one of my favourite wardrobe items at the moment because the way the fabric drapes makes everything look effortlessly chic.

Friday

If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I took a trip on Friday and I went up to Dublin. My main priority was wearing non-restrictive clothes or clothes that would make me over heat because there is nothing worse than that when you are travelling. Once again I didn’t actually end up wearing my Levi jacket with this outfit because it was too cold, instead I paired my Topshop grey jacket with it. I adore this Karen Millen zippy, the colour and clean lines of this are really my style.

Much love,

Laura x
