How to: Stop Your Skirt from Blowing Up in the Wind and Still Look Good

Summer is the time to break out all of the flowy skirts and dresses, but one of the most annoying things about wearing skirts and dresses is that one gust of wind can compromise your dignity.

I learned this for myself very quickly the first day I decided to wear my new Erika Cavallini skirt. Thankfully my friend gave me their jacket for the day to tie around my waist and it worked a treat.

I went and bought some cardigans to use for the same purpose. You could get 2 for €30 in Vera Moda at the time and they work a treat.

Using a cardigan to keep the skirt down works pretty well and can give an outfit a more preppy look. Use a shirt to get a more street wear vibe.

For this look I kept the colour palette light and airy, taking inspiration from SS18 trends by incorporating light blue and white. Sticking with the trends, I paired it up with a pair of sneakers for some youthful contrast.
